    Materials

This Topper is made of our 100% organic cotton fabric and filled with our Premium Eco Wool.

We only use organic cotton, natural and organic wool, or all-natural latex. Everything that goes in to making every Holy Lamb product comes to us from nature. You won't find synthetic materials or chemical additives in anything we create.

Our cotton is grown in India, then milled and finished in a GOTS-certified facility in Pakistan. Never bleached or dyed, our fabric is naturally soft and durable - And it's all certified 100% organic.

We offer a pristine natural wool sourced from a co-op of small sheep farmers in the western US, and a GOTS-certified organic option from New Zealand. None of our wool is ever carbonized or bleached, and sheep dipping is never practiced.

    Product Care

Sunning your topper periodically will keep it refreshed and revitalize the wool.

Wool toppers are not machine washable. Spot clean as needed. Treat stains by soaking area with hydrogen peroxide (note, this may cause lightening of fabric).

Please see our Product Care page for more details.

To preserve and extend the life of your quilted topper, try our Moisture Barriers and Puddle Pads for extra protection.

There is a natural compression of the wool during the first few weeks of use, of 15%-20%. This is due to the felting process of the wool and will settle after the initial break-in period. For even wear and optimum comfort, we recommend alternately flipping (turning over) and rotating (head to foot) your topper periodically. Do this once a week for the first few months, then every few months as needed.

The scent of wool - Our wool, both natural and organic, is cleaned and processed naturally without the use of harsh chemicals. That's why you may notice the mild sweet scent of sunny farm pastures when you receive your new wool product. The wool retains 1% of the naturally occurring lanolin oil, which helps condition the fibers and keep them fluffy and soft for years to come. Most customers find the scent dissipates within a few days.

    Very comfortable!

I am gradually moving our family from down to wool bedding, both for more REM sleep and its resistance to pet dander, dust mites and mildew. One of our children has quite a few allergies and, remarkably, has fewer symptoms with a wool pillow than a down pillow. I bought this mattress topper to test drive on our bed. The child with allergies has slept on it a couple of nights and is asymptomatic, so looks like we'll be ordering another. The topper is remarkably comfortable to sleep on. Very pleased with our purchase.

    Very comfortable topper!

I have had foam and latex toppers for many years, latex being the latest. Then, recently learned that I’m allergic to latex as well. So I have decided to start moving to an all wool based mattress system, starting with the pillows and now the topper. Have been sleeping on the topper for a month and following the instructions to rotate it. And so far I really like the topper. It’s very comfortable and doesn’t cause any pain. I live in a humid and hot region part of the country, and so far the wool topper doesn’t make it hotter or anything like that. Thanks!

    Great product!

I bought this in the crib size to pad a toddler bed and it works great. Very glad to have found this. My kids are thrilled with it. Just beware that the quilting can create some hard bumps (indents) that sensitive kids may feel. I appreciate the high quality, natural materials.

Wool does a terrific job of keeping you warm in the winter and is a superstar fiber when it comes to moisture wicking. It’s why wool is our go-to option when it’s time to bundle up for colder weather. The basic science is simple: wool fibers absorb moisture and release it into the air.
