Stitched with care, you get warmth, temperature regulation, and breathability in this signature handmade product. Designed and handcrafted for comfort and coziness, our quilted comforters are made from domestically sourced premium eco wool encased in an organic cotton sateen shell. Hand-tufted and stitched around the perimeter so the wool batting stays in place. Now with corner ties for securing into your duvet cover. These comforters naturally regulate body temperature while wicking away moisture, ensuring a restful sleep in any season. We offer three basic weights:
Light- Our lightest weight option. Well-suited for those living in warm climates or who naturally run warm in body temperature.
Perfect - Our most popular weight, a great all-purpose choice. Comfortable in spring and summer, you can add a blanket in the cooler months as needed.
Extra- For those whose body temperature tends to run cool or who live in a cold climate. If you traditionally sleep with a lot of covers, this is the option for you.
This product ships in a sturdy cardboard box secured with paper tape. We don't use plastic wrap or synthetic packing materials in the box. If you'd like a little extra protection, you can request your product be placed inside a biodegradable bag before boxing.
Sunning your comforter periodically will keep it refreshed and revitalize the wool. Spot clean as needed. Treat stains by soaking area with hydrogen peroxide (note, this may cause lightening of fabric). Can be machined washed in cold water. Manually set to soak and spin cycles only. Do not use the wash cycle, which agitates and can ruin your comforter. For stained items, add a dose of live cultured enzymes (such as Bac-Out by Biokleen) during soak. Drape in the sun or warm place to dry. Do not wring or machine dry. Our comforter care video will guide you through a few simple steps that will keep your wool bedding feeling soft and cozy for years to come. Place in a washable duvet cover for extra protection.
The scent of wool - Our wool, both natural and organic, is cleaned and processed naturally without the use of harsh chemicals. That's why you may notice the mild sweet scent of sunny farm pastures when you receive your new wool product. The wool retains 1% of the naturally occurring lanolin oil, which helps condition the fibers and keep them fluffy and soft for years to come. Most customers find the scent dissipates within a few days.
Not too hot you sweat, not too cold you are still piling on blankets, but just right for perfect temperature regulation and comfortable sleep through the night. Feels dreamy to crawl in bed under Perfect weight king size wool comforter. Room temperature set at 65 F. I use this on a queen sized bed for a nice extra drape on the sides, but not long like a bedspread. A queen size would lack the nice drape for extra coziness. I also use organic cotton duvet cover to protect my sleep investment and add color to the bed.
Our little nest
This is the second comforter we have bought.. We first feel in love with the wool comforter in European hotels.. we finally found Holy Lambs Organics.. the best find ever... it's like sleeping in a nest.. we use it year round.. the Perfect Comfort weight... and it is very well made.. had it claened a t our local GREEN cleaners.. no problems
What we needed
I like keeping the room absolutely frigid, like around 40F, and also piling on the blankets (8 of them) so that I am warm enough. Drives my husband crazy. Buying the super warm king size comforter changed our lives. Only need 1 blanket now and we’re getting good at putting the duvet cover on! An expensive blanket but totally worth it

Wool Comforters Forever!
I love wool comforters. I will never go back to down feathers. It is a little heavier than down, but I like that. Best part is that the wool does not migrate and leave cold bald spots like down. Do yourself a favor and make the jump.
They were right in naming this "Perfect." I live in an uninsulated cabin in a West Virginia forest and I was pleasantly and impressedly surprised to find that this kept me warm down to the low 40's or so. Also, somehow, magically, I seldom overheated like one often does with down duvets. I'm totally sold on wool comforters and pillows!
