This product ships in a sturdy cardboard box secured with paper tape. We don't use plastic wrap or synthetic packing materials in the box. If you'd like a little extra protection, you can request your product be placed inside a biodegradable bag before boxing.
Sunning your comforter periodically will keep it refreshed and revitalize the wool. Spot clean as needed. Treat stains by soaking area with hydrogen peroxide (note, this may cause lightening of fabric). Can be machined washed in cold water. Manually set to soak and spin cycles only. Do not use the wash cycle, which agitates and can ruin your comforter. For stained items, add a dose of live cultured enzymes (such as Bac-Out by Biokleen) during soak. Drape in the sun or warm place to dry. Do not wring or machine dry. Our comforter care video will guide you through a few simple steps that will keep your wool bedding feeling soft and cozy for years to come. Place in a washable duvet cover for extra protection.
The scent of wool - Our wool, both natural and organic, is cleaned and processed naturally without the use of harsh chemicals. That's why you may notice the mild sweet scent of sunny farm pastures when you receive your new wool product. The wool retains 1% of the naturally occurring lanolin oil, which helps condition the fibers and keep them fluffy and soft for years to come. Most customers find the scent dissipates within a few days.
Loving my comforter, recently separated the two for the summer heat, and it has been perfect.
Unfortunately one of the ties that connect the two pieces ripped off. I was able to repair it, but when you drop over $1000 on a comforter high expectations come with that. I think the comforter either needs additional tie on each side, or more reinforcement in the stitching.
Thank you for taking the additional time to update your review. This is extremely helpful feedback for our production team. I will be sure to pass it along, so we might make those improvements.

Nice and warm and lets me breath while sleeping
One of my main complaints about my blankets is that some of them will make me sweat if I use them (one in particular that I have in mind is made of polyester fleece). This is the main reason I was looking for a wool comforter.
After using this I have found that my sweating has improved quite a bit. Now I only sweat if I use both included seasonal blankets together, or if I sleep with the windows closed (at the moment it is between 30-50 degrees F at night).
I really like that I can separate the comforter into two separate comforter layers so that I can use one layer when it is warmer at night and two for the extra cold nights.
Awesome fluffy and warm
Love it, so toasty with this chilly winter weather. Clearly a quality piece that will last
I had no idea how well the wool comforter provided consistent and cozy warmth. My husband and I love it. It is a huge improvement compared to any other comforter (down and synthetic) that I have used.
