    Your Baby and Wool

This product ships in a sturdy cardboard box secured with paper tape. We don't use plastic wrap or synthetic packing materials in the box. If you'd like a little extra protection, you can request your product be placed inside a biodegradable bag before boxing.

    Care

Sunning your comforter periodically will keep it refreshed and revitalize the wool. Spot clean as needed. Treat stains by soaking area with hydrogen peroxide (note, this may cause lightening of fabric). Can be machined washed in cold water. Manually set to soak and spin cycles only. Do not use the wash cycle, which agitates and can ruin your comforter. For stained items, add a dose of live cultured enzymes (such as Bac-Out by Biokleen) during soak. Drape in the sun or warm place to dry. Do not wring or machine dry. Our comforter care video will guide you through a few simple steps that will keep your wool bedding feeling soft and cozy for years to come. Place in a washable duvet cover for extra protection.

The scent of wool - Our wool, both natural and organic, is cleaned and processed naturally without the use of harsh chemicals. That's why you may notice the mild sweet scent of sunny farm pastures when you receive your new wool product. The wool retains 1% of the naturally occurring lanolin oil, which helps condition the fibers and keep them fluffy and soft for years to come. Most customers find the scent dissipates within a few days.

The MOST AMAZING COMFORTER IN THE WORLD!!!

Over a year ago I bought myself a king organic wool heavy weight comforter from you and it was one of the best investments I have ever made. This year, my best beloved, my cat Arial, who is 15 and very very frail, suffering from multiple illnesses, one of which is bad arthritis that causes him a great deal of pain (never fear, he is on excellent pain medications), has recently had a harder time with stiffness from the arthritis as the weather turned cool/cold. He also lost much of his fur over a year ago and it has never grown back, so he gets cold and I have had to keep the heat quite high, just for him. So I bought him two of your organic wool crib comforters. Arial has always slept on my bed, right next to my head. This year, he has been sleeping more and more, lately almost all the time. When I got the comforters, I folded them in half, put one on top of the other and laid them on my bed where he sleeps. I don't know if it was the scent of the lanolin in the wool, but he immediately "ran" (the closest he could come to running) and literally hopped onto the piled comforters. He adores them! I call them his "nest." In fact, when I need to get him out of his nest to medicate him or change the sheets, or whatever, he struggles with me (trying to run past my arms or climb on top of whatever I am doing with the sheets) to get back to his nest. And when I am finished, he runs to his nest and hops in. He is in "heaven on earth" sleeping on your wool comforters. He loves the thick, soft feeling; he loves the aroma of sheep, as do I. (I grew up on a sheep farm and my Mom sold the wool of our Border Leicesters to weavers and spinners at sheep and wool festivals all across New England.) He only gets out of his nest of your comforters to use the litter box, drink water, and eat his food. Often he insists that I put his bowl on the edge of the comforters so that he can stand in his "nest" to eat.
During what are probably my beloved Arial's final weeks, if not days, he is living and sleeping cradled in the aromatic warm, soft, cushiony depths of your amazing organic wool comforters. Thank you for enabling me to give him that gift. It is an especially precious gift in the twilight of his life.
