Designed and handcrafted for comfort, warmth and coziness, our certified organic quilted comforters are made from GOTS-certified wool encased in GOTS-certified organic cotton sateen. Hand-tufted and stitched around the perimeter so the wool batting stays in place. Now with corner ties for securing into your duvet cover. These comforters naturally regulate body temperature, ensuring a restful sleep in any season. We offer three basic weights:

Cool Comfort - Our lightest weight option. Well-suited for those living in warm climates or who naturally run warm in body temperature.

Perfect Comfort - Our most popular weight, a great all-purpose choice. You can add a blanket in the cooler months as needed.

Extra Warmth - For those whose body temperature tends to run cool or who live in a cold climate. If you traditionally sleep with a lot of covers, this is the option for you.

How to Choose a Comforter. Still not sure? Our sample and sensitivity kits can help you make an informed choice.

Care

Sunning your comforter periodically will keep it refreshed and revitalize the wool. Spot clean as needed. Treat stains by soaking area with hydrogen peroxide (note, this may cause lightening of fabric). Can be machined washed in cold water. Manually set to soak and spin cycles only. Do not use the wash cycle, which agitates and can ruin your comforter. For stained items, add a dose of live cultured enzymes (such as Bac-Out by Biokleen) during soak. Drape in the sun or warm place to dry. Do not wring or machine dry. Our comforter care video will guide you through a few simple steps that will keep your wool bedding feeling soft and cozy for years to come. Place in a washable duvet cover for extra protection.

The scent of wool - Our wool, both natural and organic, is cleaned and processed naturally without the use of harsh chemicals. That's why you may notice the mild sweet scent of sunny farm pastures when you receive your new wool product. The wool retains 1% of the naturally occurring lanolin oil, which helps condition the fibers and keep them fluffy and soft for years to come. Most customers find the scent dissipates within a few days.

Great comforter. I was looking for a handmade summer-weight comforter and although it sleeps warmer than I wanted (so far), I am hopeful it will be perfect for when the AC turns on in July.

Search is over.

I’ve been searching for an alternative to down as an insulation in a comforter. My first choice for insulation in clothing is merino wool. I own several fantastic wool blankets. Why not wool fill in a comforter. My “perfect weight” king certified organic comforter is indeed the perfect weight. It’s plenty warm enough so far. I sleep warm so I’m sure this weight will get me through our winter in the PNW. The quality is obvious. Time will tell if the fill material will keep it’s loft but so far I am very pleased.

Beautiful Comforter

Beautifully-made comforter! Purchased the 'Perfect Comfort’ Full/Queen size one. It’s ample in size; doesn’t slide off the bed; is soft to the touch; ideal for temperature regulation while sleeping; & looks lovely on the bed. Highly recommend!

10 years and still amazing!

I love love a wool comforter! I found Holy 🐑 Organics when I was working in an early ‘Green’ brick and mortar store in 2011. Took a sheep leap of faith and have been happy ever since. No need to count sheep here (sorry. Too many?) I’m in the Midwest and use my comforter year round. I would add stars if I could!
