Organic Duvet Cover- Sateen
Luscious and buttery-soft, these duvet covers are just the ticket to your well-dressed bed.
Woven with Organic Care
The sateen weave places more of the cross-stitches on one side, which gives this fabric a very soft hand. A durable weave as well. Sateen is known to be silky and to have a stylish, yet subtle, sheen.
Minimally processed and chemical-free, this duvet cover will keep you sleeping like a baby. Beautiful textiles. Beautiful sleep, 300 thread count, plus your comforter is protected with this pretty cover.
This product is made with the following raw materials:
Organic Cotton Fabric
All of the cotton fiber used conforms to the USDA Organic certification. It was a conscious choice to use only organically grown cotton in order to reduce the use of hazardous pesticides and fertilizers while providing you with the softest and highest-quality cotton available.
Support organic cotton farming by purchasing certified-organic fiber. Nearly all of the manufacturers of our cotton items are certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS.) However, due the limited number of GOTS-certified suppliers, unique items like the Cozy Blanket are certified to the OEK0-TEX standard. Both certifications are designed to limit the use of hazardous chemicals and dyes in the production process.

Certifications & Testing
Green America - Gold Certified Business since 2007
Green America is a national, non-profit founded in 1982. (They went by the name "Co-op America" until 2009). America's Green Business Certification ensures companies operate according to a “values-based” social enterprise according to principles of social justice and environmental sustainability. In addition, certified businesses must be environmentally responsible in the way they run their operations and facilities, and in how they source raw materials, manufacture products, and market them. The Gold certification is completed by the Green America Standards Committee through an independent review.
Holy Lamb Organics holds the Gold Certification
The IOAS is a non-profit certification organization dedicated to the integrity of eco label claims in the field of organic and sustainable agriculture, environmental management, social justice and fair trade.
They work internationally to assess the competence of organizations providing certification to "sustainability" standards, meaning producers can work in a fair environment and consumers can trust the products bearing these labels and the company's contribution to a more sustainable and fairer world.
IAOS's role is as an independent technical expert. It verifies correct application of the standard and the requirements for certification.
All COTTON used at Holy Lamb Organics is IOAS certified.
Eco Wool is produced to the highest standards on local American farms; some of these standards are beyond those specified for organic materials. Eco Wool is not certified organic. At this time very little organic wool is available on the market; almost no organic wool is grown in the United States.
We have access to organic wool from New Zealand that is pure and clean, though due to it being only one type of wool, it doesn’t offer the kind of resilience or bounce that our Premium Eco Wool™ does. Our Eco Wool is a blend of about 7 different types of wool varying from fine to coarse in order to create the most ideal wool fiber for use in bedding.
Our WOOL is Premium Eco-Wool™ .
Independent testing organization for harmful substances according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 for textile products since 1992. This organization provides manufacturers in the textile and clothing industry with a uniform benchmark on a scientific basis for the evaluation of potentially harmful substances in textiles. The OEKO-TEX® label indicates the additional benefits of tested safety for skin-friendly clothing and other textiles to interested end users. The International Oeko-Tex® Association, a union of 16 renowned institutes for textile research and testing in Europe and Japan, in over 60 countries worldwide. "Confidence in Textiles."
Raw materials holding OEKO-TEX® certification:
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certified
An independent non-profit membership-led organization that sets standards under which forests and companies are certified.
Their membership consists of three equally weighted chambers; environmental, economic, and social.
The FSC's mission is to promote environmentally sound, socially beneficial and economically prosperous management of the world's forests through a certification process that involves 10 principles and 57 criteria that apply to FSC-Certified forests around the world.
FSC operates in more than 80 countries, wherever forests are present.
Raw materials holding FSC certification:
UC Davis Toxicology Lab Tested
All of the wool batting as well as moisture barrier fabric and wool blanket fabric that we use in manufacturing is tested for heavy metals through fiber sample analysis.
The official report indicates: "No toxic compounds were detected....Growers and ranchers raise sheep relative to organic standards (do not use herbicides, pesticides or growth hormones)."
Though not required by law, our mill has these materials tested anyways to provide you with the assurance as to the quality of our raw materials.
Element Materials Technology Tested
All materials at Holy Lamb Organics that have a "next to skin" use are run through a voluntary Phthalates test (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act CPSIA of 2008). This test is required by law and provides an extra assurance as to the quality of our natural materials.
All of our toppers and mattresses are required to meet the cigarette burn test 1633. Our verification is printed on all of our sewn-in product labels: "This Product Complies with the Federal Flammability Standard 16 CFR part 1632".
"We are extremely happy with our cotton flannel sheets. I wouldn't have believed it without experiencing it, but they keep getting softer and more comfortable with each washing. We chose Holy Lamb Organics because we believe in using all-natural products whenever possible, and in buying from locally owned and operated businesses. Holy Lamb organics offered the best products at a great price. I am looking forward to trying additional Holy Lamb Organics products."
"Going to bed is dream in itself! I am astounded at how worthwhile the expenditures have been to get our bed in the healthiest shape we could after years of discomfort, and groggy, painful mornings. The duvet cover is exactly what I was hoping for, undyed, unbleached, breathing, feel surrounded by nature, and very quiet on the eyes! The fabric feels to the body as if it gives energy back- like there is a real relationship (which of course, if we could only understand it, there is!) between the cotton, the flax and the health giving systems in our bodies that is friendly, that encourages a resetting of the bodily systems that provide us with the sense of rejuvenation and revitalization; rest is more peaceful, more renewing. The effect of these fabrics on our living environment, esthetically and experientially, encourage us to get rid of every synthetic thing in the house and closet."
“You have quality products at reasonable prices, given the care taken in sourcing the materials and products (those that you don't make yourselves). The store is beautiful, the people are helpful...a great experience from start to finish!”
