Where does your fabric come from?
In House Products: For all of the products we manufacture, we are dedicated to using only certified organic cotton fabric. This fabric is grown, spun, woven, and finished in India then shipped to our fabric mills on the East Coast.
Sheeting & Towels: Our luxury line of sheeting, duvet covers and towels uses organic cotton that is grown in India & Turkey and woven in a variety of places including India, Turkey, Portugal & Germany.
USA Sheeting & Towels: Our local line of sheeting, duvet covers and towels uses organic cotton that is grown in Texas and then manufactured just across the border in Mexico.
GOTS Certified: All of our cotton fabrics, towels, and sheeting are certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and produced using fair labor practices, verified by in-country auditors.
“What about using more local fabric?,” you may be asking. Good question!
At our inception, there were few farmers & mills able to supply long stapled cotton fibers in the USA due to the majority of cotton growing shifting to overseas markets. This is slowly reversing, and as soon as we have secure and reliable suppliers we will be making changes to our manufacturing processes to be able to offer a USA organic cotton option.
Are any of your fabrics mercerised or treated with any chemicals?
No, our fabric has not been mercerised nor treated with any chemicals. It also does not have any finish on it whatsoever.
Are the sheets dyed?
All of the fabric dyes are low-impact and pass all organic standards. This applies to all of our sheets, duvet covers and towels that have a color.
Wherever you see "Natural" this means it is undyed, while "White" is achieved using hydrogen peroxide. If you are chemically sensitive and concerned about fabric dyes we suggest ordering the “Natural” which is the pure unadulterated cotton color.
