Benefits of Wool
Why Is Wool Bedding So Great?Breathability
Wool's inherent breathability and moisture-wicking properties help regulate body temperature, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Wool is all natural, surpassing synthetic fill in terms of quality and durability.
Dust Mite Resistant
Wool is a great choice if dust mites concern you. Wool fibers wick away moisture, creating a low-humidity microclimate inhospitable to dust mites.
Anti-Microbial and Anti-Bacterial
Wool resists bacteria and is both antimicrobial and antibacterial.
Naturally Fire Resistant
Wool is inherently fire resistant, providing a safe sleep environment without the need for chemical additives.
Sheep grow a new coat of wool every year and are not harmed during shearing. It’s like getting a haircut.
Supports Small Ranches And Ranchers
Wool is a sustainable product and helps small ranchers make a living.
Sustainable And Lasting
With proper care, your wool bedding can last for decades.
Stays In Place
Wool batting comes off the roll in one continuous piece and when hand-tufted into your topper or comforter will stay securely in place. No shifting over time and no bare spots.
The Scent of Lanolin
Wool has a mild natural scent which comes from lanolin, a natural oil that helps sheep regulate body temperature. Approximately 1% of the lanolin is intentionally left in the wool after the scouring and cleaning process. This ensures conditioning effects and increases the longevity and vitality of our wool. We find the majority of customers either don't notice a scent or find the natural scent to be mild, pleasant, and benign.
