Why Organic Cotton?
- Cotton is one of the top 3 most heavily sprayed crops in the world.
- 1.25 lbs of chemicals are used to produce a single set of queen size bed sheets. Holy Lamb!
Low Impact Dyes:
- The Luxury Line's colored sheets are achieved by using low-impact dyes. These dyes are better than conventional dyes and pass all the organic standards. Two exceptions include:
- "White" which is achieved using hydrogen peroxide; a great alternative whitening agent compared to chlorine bleach.
- "Natural Ivory" is just the natural color of the cotton with no dyeing or whitening.
- If you are chemically sensitive but prefer the Luxury Line, we suggest ordering sheets in the White or Natural Ivory.

Sewing Construction:
- Flat Sheets: Sewn with a 4" hem at the top and a 1/2" hem on the sides and bottom. Percale, Damask Check, and Damask Stripe fabrics have a reverse hem detail at the top.
- Fitted Sheet: Constructed with a high quality elastic that runs along the bottom. The 15" pocket depth is designed to accommodate thicker mattresses.
- Pillow Case Choices:
- Standard Envelope Cases: fit standard size pillows and measures 20"x 26". A European-style construction with an 8" fold-over flap at the opening that holds the pillow inside. This design helps to protect your pillow from dirt and increase the life span of your natural bedding. It has a 4" hem at the opening. Percale and Damasks have a reverse hem turned to the outside of the opening.
- Queen Cases: If you prefer queen cases with your queen sheet set please let us know. Otherwise, we will send Standard Envelope Cases. Queen cases measure 20"x 32" and are the traditional open-ended cases. Constructed with a 4" hem at the opening. The Percale and Damasks have a reverse hem turned to the outside of the opening.
- King Cases: If you prefer king cases with your king sheet set please let us know. Otherwise, we will send Standard Envelope Cases. King cases measure 20" x 36" and are traditional open-ended cases. Constructed with a 4" hem at the opening. The Percale and Damasks have a reverse hem turned to the outside of the opening.

Weave Descriptions:
- Jersey: Known for it's softness and is similar to T-shirt fabric. Kids love the feel of this fabric. Since that it is a knit versus a woven fabric, this is the most economical organic sheeting available.
- Percale: This weave is known for it's coolness. If you enjoy slipping into cool sheets, having them gently warm up and then move your feet over to a new area and have it be cool then this weave is for you. It also has a reputation for being crisp and lightweight. Grandmas know this fabric well. The weave is a simple over-then-under interlacing of fibers. 230 thread count.
- Flannel: Well known for it's unmatched softness and warmth. If you enjoy slipping into sheets that warm up quickly, then this is your match. This is a 6 oz medium thick flannel. It is a twill weave that is napped on both sides (which is what makes it warm and fuzzy). This is a great long-term fabric that will not pill over time.
- Sateen: A medium weight organic sheeting fabric known for it's sheen, softness and look of luxury. Threads float on top of four to seven yarns before interlaced into the weave. Known for it's sheen. Thread count approx. 300-350.
- Damask: Very similar to a Sateen in all ways except the look. The threads are woven on a jacquard loom in a striped or checkered pattern.
- Wisteria: Again, this is very similar to a Sateen in all ways except the look. The pattern is a subtle Wisteria vine and flowers woven into the fabric.

The Luxury Organic sheeting line specializes in high-end, very soft, silky, and satiny sheets. The fabric types listed below are organized in order of most economical (ex. Jersey) to most expensive (ex. 410 Sateen). Cotton growing, spinning, weaving and finishing are located in India where the organic program greatly benefits the community through the Chetna Project. Although they come from far away, this supports a pretty amazing project. The cotton is not only grown organically but it is also fairly traded. Fabric dyes are low-impact and pass all organic standards, "Natural" is undyed while "White" is achieved using hydrogen peroxide.

- Yarns are ring spun for strength. Warp yarns are double plied for longer wear.
- Finishing is 100% chemical free in accordance with OTA standards.
- Cutting and sewing features felled seams, piping trim, deep fitted pockets and maximum stitches per inch.
This organic sheeting line specializes in using organic cotton that is grown in the state of Texas. It is spun, woven and finished just south of the border in Mexico. The sheets and duvet covers are made locally as compared to the luxury line. This benefits our local economy, provides local jobs and helps keep U.S. farmers in business. Organic sheets are available in Sateen approx. a 240 thread count. While these are not super soft like the Organic Luxury Sheets, they are still plenty soft, cozy, and you can feel proud of our locally grown cotton! If you have any chemical sensitivities this is a perfect choice.
