Where does our wool come from?

Our dear friends run a wool mill in Northern California. The wool is sourced from small sheep farmer's on the West Coast much of which came from sheep living on pastures in the hills of the Klamath region in Oregon. Their Eco-Wool Program ensures that the sheep, the farmers and the land all benefit from this relationship. Your purchase helps support these small U.S. sheep farmers who depend on a local demand for wool. The majority of wool used in the industry is imported from New Zealand which undermines our local farming economy. The wool is then washed and combed into batting preserving a small amount of lanolin in the fiber for longevity. Nothing is added to the wool after washing nor is it subjected to any chemical treatments. We have a commitment to buying wool as local as possible and supporting small sheep
farmers in this country.

Snuggle up with our natural hand made wool comforter. This style of comforter suits most people. It is filled with 100% pure grown eco-wool and covered with an organic cotton Sateen fabric (250 threads per inch). Choose the temperature weight that is right for you: Cool Comfort, Perfect Comfort or Extra Warmth. We handstitch the entire perimeter and hand tuft every 6- 8" to prevent the wool from shifting and enable washing. We use only cotton thread (no poly blends). They are soft and very cozy.

Protect your favorite wool comforter with an organic cotton duvet cover. Choose from 5 types of organic cotton fabrics that come in a variety of colors. It is constructed with the opening at the bottom. Depending on the size, the opening is sewn-in between six to fifteen inches on each side and have button closures. Made by Coyuchi.
