What makes this a "latex" mattress? To answer that question you look to see what the core of a mattress primarily consists of. This gives you a sense of how the mattress will perform and what type of feel it will have. Latex mattresses are most similar to memory foam such as a Tempur-Pedic mattress. While it doesn't have quite the body memory effect, it far outperforms it's conventional sister. The latex mattresses smell better, will not harm you when you sleep on them because they have NO chemicals or fire retardants, and they are also much more breathable. Many people complain about sweating and being hot with memory foam options. The latex used in our mattresses is the pure and natural Dunlop latex (verses the Tallalay). This particular type of latex comes from the sap of Rubber trees. Our latex mattresses are priced in a wide range from economy models to luxury, so you can get into a far superior latex mattress at a very comparable price to conventional models. If you like the general feel of a foam mattress, chances are you will like a latex mattress.

Naturally Fire Retardant: How can we offer a mattress without fire retardant chemicals? That's a great question because you may know that ALL mattresses by law are required to be flame retardant for safety and therefore ALL mattresses (even organic cotton futon mattresses) contain a high quantity of chemical fire retardants. The secret to our mattresses is that they are wrapped in thick layers of Eco-Wool which make them naturally fire retardant. This is the most important feature of all the organic mattresses we offer.

Pricing: Our organic mattress pricing ranges from economy options all the way to high-end luxury models. You will find 3 price tiers: Economy, Custom/Deluxe &  Luxury. Choose a mattress option that works for your comfort level and budget alike.

Shipping: FREE if the mattress is delivered to our showroom at Holy Lamb Organics in Oakville, WA. If you are out of the area or prefer it delivered directly to your doorstep there will be an additional $200 fee for the first mattress/box spring/foundation, and an additional $25 per each additional. These fees, if applicable, will be billed later.

Ships From: Northern California if you are West of the Mississippi, New York if you are East of the Mississippi

Lead Time: 5-7 weeks, exact quotes provided at the time of order, please allow up to 12 weeks for Twin-XL & California King sizes.

Firmness Ratings: Available in a selection of firmness ratings depending on the particular mattress. Firmness levels range from Soft, Medium or Firm. The majority of the population will prefer the Medium firmness rating. If you like a very cushy bed, try the base layer in the Medium or Firm for proper support and then the pillowtop layer in Soft. To make a mattress softer, try adding a Box Spring, or Mattress Topper.
